Denver Counselor, Couples Therapist & Marriage Counselor
Adam Melin specializes in individual and couples counseling in our Denver-Wash Park Office. He believes that an open, empathic and accepting relationship with his clients is fundamental to the process of healing and growth. By creating a space for his client’s to be heard, seen and felt, struggles from their past and present can be transformed into meaning, hope and strength.
Life can be hard at times. The death of a loved one, career changes, family turmoil, marital conflicts and having children, are examples of times that try our mental and emotional capacity. Adam utilizes an integrative approach, with a primary focus on emotions, which allows him to meet clients where they are in their struggles. He supports individuals in working through their challenges and overcoming the roadblocks to their personal and relational goals. With relationships, Adam helps couples identify the negative cycles that lead to conflict and disconnection, so new ways of strengthening love, joy and security can be achieved.
Adam obtained a Masters’ Degree in Counseling and Concentration in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of Colorado Denver, a Bachelor’s Degree in Business with Concentrations in Accounting and Marketing and has advanced training in Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFT). He pulls from mindfulness teachings, trauma informed Neurosequential Model of Therapeutics (NMT), psychospiritual approaches and systemic perspectives to help clients move towards achieving the life and relationships they want. Adam also enjoys traveling, being in nature and diving into his continual pursuit of learning, growing and finding security and happiness in his own life and relationships.
