Katie d’Autremont is a Licensed Professional Counselor who specializes in marriage counseling and individual therapy. A Montana native, Katie obtained her Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Counseling from Montana State University in Bozeman, MT and a Bachelor’s Degree in Health and Human Development.
Katie’s specialties include relationship issues, infidelity-trauma, anxiety, depression and grief/loss. She has a gift for helping couples understand the patterns of disconnection they get caught in, while also providing them effective alternatives to strengthen communication and connection within their relationship. As a couples therapist, Katie is passionate about utilizing Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFT), in which she has completed extensive training. She also incorporates and is trained in a variety of therapeutic modalities when working with individuals, such as Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), EFT, systemic approaches and mind/body practices.
Katie’s ability to create a safe and connected environment is what her clients find most healing and effective in their work with her. It is within this collaborative dynamic that she utilizes her expertise of the therapeutic process to help her clients work through their unique challenges and achieve the positive outcomes they want.
