Dr. Carly Johnson
Dr. Carly Johnson is a Licensed Psychologist with a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology, Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology, and Certificate in Child and Adolescent Psychology from the Adler School of Professional Psychology in Chicago, Illinois. She is actively involved in the American Psychological Association (APA), Colorado Psychological Association (CPA), and Colorado Assessment Society (CAS).
Dr. Johnson is dedicated to providing psychological services and individual therapy, couples therapy and group therapy in our Denver office. As a Licensed Psychologist and Marriage Counselor her areas of expertise include anxiety, depression, trauma, grief/loss, self-esteem, relationship issues, and personal/relational growth. In her integrative and holistic approach to working with individuals and couples, Dr. Johnson considers all relevant aspects of a person’s life. She incorporates cognitive-behavioral, Adlerian, experiential, existential-humanistic, and relational perspectives and techniques. Moreover, Dr. Johnson has developed and facilitated a variety of psycho-educational, process and experiential groups and best practices skill-based groups. This experience represents Dr. Johnson’s ability to promote and enhance the therapeutic process of change in her clients’ lives and relationships.
Dr. Johnson believes that wellness begins with identifying and moving toward meaningful goals within the supportive context of a trusting therapeutic relationship and she welcomes clients’ diverse perspectives and unique life experiences. She finds significant meaning in her work as a Licensed Psychologist and Marriage Counselor and hopes for increased insight, expanded awareness, and positive changes for her clients. Dr. Johnson’s ultimate goal is to collaborate with her individual and couples clients on their paths toward purposeful and fulfilled relationships and lives.
